Sun Salutation A

Sun Salutations are an energizing yoga flow that helps clear energy pathways and invigorate the body. The special sequence links our postures with our breath, connecting our mind and body. When we pause in the middle of the flow to fill ourselves with gratitude, the combination of ignited energy + positive mindset transforms our mind and body into an invigorated state.

The Gentle Variation is less strenuous and a lower-impact approach. It’s also easier to go at a calmer pace. Sun Salutation A is a little more challenging and requires more strength and use of the core. This version is easier to speed things up if you wish to do so.

Our bodies have different needs on different days, so choose a variation that fits your needs. Some days you might enjoy a mild approach, while others a more strenuous one. And some days, you may want to start with mild and work your way up.

This is your practice, so listen to your body and be honest with what might be best for you on any given day. Find a balance between pushing yourself and knowing your limits. Sun salutations are here to help you thrive and can be a beautiful start to your day.
