To support myself while bringing my dream to a reality, I’m currently working for 5 different people / companies. Part of my role as a change maker is to stay current with the sustainable fashion movement so research is part of my daily routine. It’s important to me to continuously explore yoga, so I enroll in online classes consistently. I also have a dog whose company brings me great joy so I make a point to send quality time with him every day. I get out and explore the Greatest City in the World and I do make time for the people dear to me. My Google calendar is color coordinated and looks like a psychedelic rainbow when all events are lit up. With all the I’m juggling, one thing I do not jeopardize is my wellbeing. I make it a priority to take care of myself. Today I stepped away from my To-Do’s and paused for a few hours. I went for an extra long walk, joined a yoga practice offered through the Himalayan Institute, gave myself a facial, drank some detox tea and had a yummy, healthy plant based lunch. A mini-retreat just for me. It’s important to take care of yourself. By being loving, respectful and caring towards yourself, you are bringing that energy into the world. As Gandhi said it best, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Self-love is where it’s at.
