The number one question I’ve received this week has been “what can I do to help?” and/or “how can I do more?” Melt my Goddamn heart. Thank you for being inspired to be part of the solution. I am here for you! •First of all, text Congress. Let them hear your voice. Let them know that there is no room in government for climate deniers. Our leaders need to be making decisions off of facts, not profits. And now is the time for change. Text CLIMATE to 71333•Use less plastic, especially single use. This does not mean to go without. This means to do things differently. Once upon a time we didn’t have plastic in every inch of our lives. We can, and must, live in a world without plastic. It’s totally possible. And let me tell ya…it is really fun to say “no plastic, please.” Most people will support you. Those who don’t just aren’t there yet, but you planted the seed of change.•Fall in love with secondhand, especially your clothes. Secondhand is sexy. It’s means things have mysterious, romantic pasts. It means your clothes have lived a little and know a thing or two about life. Secondhand is all about personality. If you think secondhand is icky, think again. People who are in it purely for profit paid a lot of money for you to believe that.•My favorite: take care of yourself. Change makers need to be happy and healthy to do their best work. If you are run down, stressed out and not your complete self, that’s what you’re bringing to the table. For all aspects of your life, be your best so you can do your best. 🌳🌎🏻
