My personal style is #TreeHuggerChic. I keep an earth friendly wardrobe to celebrate who I am and for my deep love for this incredible planet. There’s this myth that being sustainable in fashion means you give up on style or you have to fork out a lot of coin. I’m here to prove that silly notion is not true. In fact, once you learn the tricks you’ll end up saving a ton of cash. Check in with me regularly for tips & ideas. Look great, feel great and save money. Why would you not want to hug trees? PRO-TIP: care, repair and extend the wear. Collect items of quality – things that are meant to last – and take care of them. This will cut down your spending overall and quality always turns up the style dial. IMHO: if you buy cheap (quality), you look cheap. To get quality on a budget, see image I borrowed from @sarahlazarovic Questions? Definitely reach out. More than happy to help. . . . . .Deets about this Tree-Hugger look:* Dress on its second lifecycle; acquired at a clothing swap. It’s made with @the.world.of.tencel which is a earth-friendly rayon alternative made from leftover wood and cotton scraps.* Sweater jacket was once my grandmother’s. It was passed on to me after she passed away. Yeah, she had amazing taste.* Boots by @thefryecompany I got them in 2004. They have been resoled twice while the upper part keeps getting worn in. They are the most comfortable boots ever; only time gets them like this. * Purse by @dooneyandbourke my first purchase for myself as a @nordstrom stylist (oh I loved that job ). I admit that I’m a bit hard on it but the darn thing has held up. Will be taking it in for a clean-up and minor repair soon. Definitely more years to come out of this one. * I’ve had my @rayban Aviators since 2008. I never put them on my head and always store them in their case. They haven’t lost their shape and have no scratches because of this. They are iconic and timeless. I have not purchased another set of sunglasses in the last decade. Back tattoo reads Balancia (balance in Italian). Many hugs and kisses to @evan_lacombe for taking the photos 🏻
